Development of a high power femtosecond laser facility. Materials processing and characterization at micro-nano scale using the nonlinear absorption induced by ultrafast laser pulses. Ultrashort pulses related studies: multiple femtosecond pulses generation, coherent beam combination, X-ray laser development. Modeling of interactions between very intense electromagnetic fields and electrons or atoms.

Infrastructures

Terawatt laser system with 22 fs pulse duration, 450 mJ pulse energy, 10 Hz repetition rate; 1 mJ femtosecond laser with 200 fs pulse duration, 2KHz repetition rate; Picosecond and nanosecond Solid-State lasers; Microprocessing system with precise XYZ translation stages for Laser Direct Writing and micro-stereolithography; Laser beam characterisation setups.
