Research directions:
- Design and development of the high-tech textile materials destined to various surgical fields such as: linear and bifurcated vascula prostheses for cardiovascular surgery; reinforced surgical mesh for the reconstruction of the soft and semirigid tissues of the thoracic wall for thoracic surgery; bioimplant for gastroeneterology; nonresorbable surgical threads for orthopaedic surgery, bioresorbable materials for general surgery etc;
- Implementation of the ITC instruments in order to mathematical modelling and simulation of a specific phenomenas in the human body (i.e. blood flow through cardiovascular system);
- Technological transfer of the medical devices.
